Templar Tour Of Scotland

Following the massive success of the Da Vinci Code book, a new demand has arisen for groups who wish to visit Templar sites in Scotland. Since the Knights Templar often aligned themselves with those who were well versed in the art of navigation, many of their sites in Ireland and Scotland were coastal. This is a repeat of an earlier theme in Celtic days when the early saints had to rely on navigating the seas between the two countries. Scotland more than Ireland has a rich heritage of Templar sites, including marvellous burial stones. They apparently utilised the leys of the land to settle their preceptories on, and so dowsing at the sites is recommended. Rods are provided free, while pendulums locally produced are for sale at a reasonable rate.
The main bulk of the Templars left La Rochelle to sail to the Isle of May and trips to this island in the Firth of Forth can be included in summer. Individuals may book this tour as well as groups. Sites visited depend on duration of tour - they can include Argyll, Midlothian (where Rosslyn and other monuments are situated), and parts of the Highlands where their influence remained for a long time.
